	Description

	Kirkman® offers this excellent, hypoallergenic formulation of Super Nu-Thera® in capsules. This formula was specially designed for those who have special requirements and sensitivities. It offers the same potencies as other popular Super Nu-Thera® products but without fillers, flavorings, sweeteners or known allergens, in particular those commonly used in the dietary supplement industry. Super Nu-Thera® hypoallergenic capsules have the following features: • Capsule shell is made from plant cellulose, not animal gelatin like other products • No fillers are used • No flavorings are used • No sweeteners are use • No preservatives are added • No colorings are present • Only vegetable grade magnesium stearate is used as a lubricant. This product contains 25 mg of pyridoxal 5-phosphate (P-5-P) and 25 mg of vitamin B-6 from pyridoxine hydrochloride per serving. In addition, each serving contains 120 mg of magnesium from a citrate-glycinate-oxide blend and 175 mg of calcium from a carbonate, chelate, citrate complex. All of the B-Complex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E plus all of the other minerals are present in the same potencies as other Super Nu-Thera® products. The small capsule used in the condensed version of Super Nu-Thera® is not suitable for this product because of the volume of ingredients it has to hold. Instead, Kirkman uses the larger, number “0” size hypoallergenic capsule shell, which is made of plant cellulose. This formulation contains more vitamins and minerals than the condensed version, therefore, its taste will be strong and hard to mask in juice or foods. To avoid the strong taste, the best way to take this product is to swallow the capsule whole. Kirkman’s Super Nu-Thera®: Its beginning Super Nu-Thera® has been Kirkman's most popular dietary supplement since its inception in 1967. The original Super Nu-Thera® was formulated by Kirkman® at the urgent request of a researcher investigating special nutritional supplements. His request was for a formulation with high vitamin B-6 and magnesium content that tasted good so children would take the product. The original form of Super Nu-Thera® was an orange flavored powdered supplement. This classic is still available as our Super Nu-Thera® Powder (310/454). What is unique about Super Nu-Thera®? Super Nu-Thera® is a multiple vitamin/mineral supplement featuring vitamin B-6 and magnesium. Super Nu-Thera® also contains the rest of the B-vitamins, vitamin C, the oil soluble vitamins E, A, and D (in many formulations), as well as the minerals zinc, manganese and selenium. Some forms of Super Nu-Thera® also may include calcium, depending on whether that product’s particular formulation can incorporate the large volume of calcium required. Forms of Super Nu-Thera® not containing calcium may require individuals to use a calcium supplement if their diet is not supplying the “Daily Recommended Value” of this important nutrient. Kirkman® offers hypoallergenic formulations that are specially designed for individuals with special requirements and sensitivities. These formulations contain no fillers, sweeteners, flavorings, colorings, preservatives, or known allergens. Why might I choose a powdered formulation? Kirkman® Super Nu-Thera® powders suspend easily in liquids and can be mixed in semi-solid foods. Powders provide an option for those individuals unable to swallow capsules or caplets. Why might I choose a liquid formulation? Kirkman® Super Nu-Thera® liquids can be mixed easily in beverages or semi-solid foods and come in a variety of palatable flavors. Liquid formulations provide an option for those individuals unable to swallow capsules or caplets. Why might I choose a formulation without vitamins A and D? Many individuals obtain supplementation of vitamins A and/or D from cod liver oil or another source(s). For those individuals, Kirkman® offers Super Nu-Thera® without vitamins A and D. Why might I choose a formulation that contains P-5-P? P-5-P stands for pyridoxal 5-phosphate. Formulations of Super Nu-Thera® that feature P-5-P as part of the vitamin B-6 source are intended for those individuals whose physician has determined that the usual form of vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) is not being utilized completely. P-5-P is the metabolically active coenzyme of pyridoxine, and is an essential cofactor in many enzymatic reactions in amino acid metabolism.
