	Description

	L-Glutamine (also known as glutamine) is an amino acid that is required by the body for good health because it is involved in many critical body functions. Kirkman® offers the highest quality, chemically pure L-Glutamine available. Our capsules are hypoallergenic, specially formulated for individuals with special requirements or sensitivities. They are made from plant cellulose (pine) instead of the traditional animal gelatin shell. The body can synthesize L-Glutamine; however, in times of stress, the body can not make enough, and supplementation may be required to prevent a deficiency. The following body processes are involved with L-Glutamine: • supports the immune system • has gastrointestinal mucosa maintenance action • contributes in the synthesis of skeletal muscle proteins • may reduce cravings for sugar L-Glutamine is necessary for the health and continuous actions of phagocytes, important immune system supporting cells. It is also necessary for the synthesis of skeletal muscle proteins that support muscles and enhance muscle tone.
