	Description

	Kirkman® offers DMG (Dimethylglycine) with Folinic Acid and B-12 hypoallergenic capsules formulated for individuals with special requirements and sensitivities. Our DMG is from DMG hydrochloride. DMG supports methylation, methionine metabolism, folate chemistry and is an immune system modulator. For DMG to work biochemically, folic acid intake and levels in the body must be adequate. Kirkman® has included natural folinic acid, a form of folic acid that may be more beneficial than folic acid in some individuals. Folinic acid already has attached four hydrogen atoms and one methyl group, thereby shortcutting the complicated biochemical processes that assist purine and nucletide synthesis, which are so important in cell perception and response. Also included in this formulation is the most active form of vitamin B-12, methylcobalamin, because folinic acid can sometimes mask a vitamin B-12 deficiency. DMG is a non-protein amino acid present in plant and animal cells. The chemical structure of DMG is a glycine molecule holding onto two methyl groups. DMG is considered a "methyl donor" or “methyl bank." In the body, with the help of a coenzyme of riboflavin, DMG supplies methyl groups that attach to folic acid to form methylene tetrahydrofolate, an important component of many biochemical processes in the body, including cellular perception and response. It is also involved in maintaining healthy homocysteine levels.
