Kirkman's Trimethylglycine (TMG) Liquid with and Vitamin B-12

Some individuals can not swallow tablets or capsules. Kirkman has therefore formulated a liquid TMG product which includes and Vitamin B-12. Kirkman's TMG liquid has a pleasant raspberry flavor and is especially easy to use with small children. As with all Kirkman products, the TMG liquid is casein and gluten free. The source of commercially available TMG including Kirkman's is from beets.

Basically, Trimethylglycine (TMG) is Dimethylglycine (DMG) with one more methyl group. The chemical structure of TMG is therefore is actually a glycine molecule holding onto three methyl groups, so like DMG, TMG is considered a "methyl donor" or methyl "bank". The additional methyl group actually makes TMG a more active methyl donor than DMG which is a benefit in some individuals. TMG can support the formation of methionine by methylating homocysteine. Some of this methionine eventually is converted into SAMe (S-adenosylmthionine), which can help maintain healthy serotonin levels in the body and support mood and well-being.
