Super Nu-Thera™ has been Kirkman's most popular dietary supplement since its formulation in 1967. The original Super Nu-Thera® was formulated by Kirkman at the urgent request of a researcher investigating special nutritional formulations. His request was for a formulation which tasted good so children would take the product.

What is unique about Super Nu-Thera®?

Super Nu-Thera® is a multiple vitamin/mineral supplement featuring B-6, and magnesium. Super Nu-Thera® also contains the rest of the B-vitamins, vitamin C, the oil soluble vitamins (E, A, and D) as well as the minerals zinc, manganese and selenium. Some forms of Super Nu-Thera® also may include calcium. Its inclusion depends on whether that particular form of Nu-Thera® can incorporate the large volume of calcium required. Forms of Super Nu-Thera® not containing calcium may require individuals to use a calcium supplement if the diet is not supplying the Daily Recommended Values of this important nutrient.

What other forms of Super-Thera® have evolved since the original?

The original form of Super Nu-Thera™ was an orange flavored powdered supplement. It is still available as Super Nu-Thera Classic Powder. Other forms now available include:

Super Nu-Thera® Powder with 25 mg. P5P. This form of Super Nu-Thera™ features Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate as part of the vitamin B-6 source. This formulation is for those individuals whose physician has determined that the usual form of vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), is not being utilized completely. Lemon-Lime flavored.

Kirkman has had tremendous response and support of our Nu-Thera® Hypoallergenic condensed formula. By popular demand, we have now introduced Super Nu-Thera® Hypoallergenic. This formula has the same potencies as other Super Nu-Thera® products and is hypoallergenic in all respects just as the condensed version, containing no fillers, sweeteners, flavorings or known allergens. This product is formulated for those individuals who are sensitive or have allergies to ingredients commonly used in the dietary supplement industry. Individuals who are unable to use other Super Nu-Thera® products due to sensitivities or reactions to certain ingredients will now have a suitable product to use to get the nutritional benefits without the fear of a reaction to ingredients. Super Nu-Thera® Hypoallergenic capsules have the following features:

Capsule shell is made from plant cellulose, not animal gelatin like other products
No fillers are used
No flavorings are used
No sweeteners are used
No preservatives are added
No colorings are present
Only vegetable grade magnesium stearate is used as a lubricant

This product contains 50 mg. of Pyridoxyl 5 Phosphate (P5P) and 50 mg. of B-6 from pyridoxine hydrochloride. In addition, it contains 240 mg. of magnesium from a citrate-glycinate-oxide blend and 350 mg. of calcium from a carbonate-chelate-citrate complex. All of the B-Complex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E plus all of the other minerals are present in the same potencies as other Super Nu-Thera® products.

Because of the volume of ingredients in this product, the small capsules used in the condensed version of Nu-Thera® Hypoallergenic were not suitable. Super Nu-Thera® Hypoallergenic is in number "0" plant cellulose capsules. Because it contains more vitamins and minerals, the taste will also be a lot stronger and hard to mask in juice or foods. Swallowing the capsules will be the best way to administer.

Recommended Usage:

As a dietary supplement use 2-4 capsules per day or as recommended by a physician or health care professional. Individual needs may vary based on testing or variable absorption characteristics. For this reason, some doctors and practitioners may recommend higher dosages.
