Kirkman's Single Strain Acidophilus Probiotic containing 3 Billion CFU Per Capsule

INTRODUCTION

Kirkman Laboratories Lactobacillus acidophilus features only that one probiotic strain. This species is recognized as one of the primary friendly lactic acid bacteria residing in a healthy gastrointestinal tract. Research over the past decade has shown that L. acidophilus possesses a number of important health benefits including:

· Ability to adhere to the GI mucosa and colonize the intestinal tract
· Supports the body's natural defenses (immunity)
· Helps control diarrhea, or constipation
· Helps alleviate occasional diarrhea or constipation

Because this product contains only the L. acidophilus strain of probiotics, it meets the criteria of probiotics considered legal on the SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet). No Bifido strains are present in this product.

The only other ingredients present in the product are plant cellulose and silicon dioxide.

At the time of manufacture each #3 size vegetable (plant cellulose) capsule contains:

As a dietary supplement take 1 (one) capsule daily, or as directed by a physician or other health care professional.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is recommended to take the capsule with food and/or beverages. Capsules may be swallowed or pulled apart and the contents mixed with or sprinkled on food or in beverages, as long as the food or beverage are cool.

Lactobacillus acidophilus is free of milk, casein, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, yeast, sugar, sugar alcohols, disaccharides, polysaccharides, starch, egg, MSG, artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors, preservatives, salicylates and other common allergens. Exclusively designed for the sensitive individual.

CLINICAL RESEARCH AND APPLICATION
This formulation can be utilized alone or in combination with other friendly bacteria to promote and maintain a healthy gastrointestinal system. Some health professionals have advised the concomitant use of other strains of friendly bacteria with the single strain products.
